Six Ba'ag wrestlers competed in the 6th Annual Wrestling event of the Lori Piestewa National Native American Games, presented by the Grand Canyon State Games, June. Our grapplers competed in three different wrestling styles over two days: Folkstyle (high school/college style) and the Olympic Styles, Freestyle and Greco-Roman. Over the course of the two-day competition, all six wrestlers found their way onto the medal stand for all three styles, with brothers Adrian, Christian, and Curtis Lopez completing their third season with the team with some of their highest placings in any competition they've entered, Joseph Rangel entering his first Freestyle and Greco-Roman competitions, and Coach Hosteen Begay walking away as triple champion for the 2015 Games! All those wins and placements earned us valuable team points, helping us to earn our 3rd consecutive Team Third Place finish at the Lori Piestewa Games!
